Curtains of Care by V Furnish is a CSR initiative that aims to bridge kindness with sustainability by
collecting used curtains from the public and distributing them to orphanages, old age homes, and other
underprivileged communities.
This policy outlines the responsibilities, procedures, and ethical standards expected of volunteers and
student participants who support this initiative.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This document serves to:
- Provide clarity on the volunteer registration and participation process.
- Ensure volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain transparency, safety, and accountability throughout the project.
2. Who Can Volunteer
We welcome:
- MSW students from recognized institutions.
- Individuals aged 18 and above interested in social service.
- Organizations or groups willing to support the cause.
All volunteers must register and be approved by the Curtains of Care coordination team.
3. Volunteer Registration Procedure
Interested participants must:
- Fill out the online or offline volunteer registration form.
- Submit valid ID proof and a recent passport-sized photo.
- Provide institutional recommendation (in case of students).
- Attend a brief orientation session (online or in person).
Upon verification, volunteers will be assigned tasks based on availability and location.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
Volunteers may be involved in the following activities:
- Collection Coordination: Communicating with curtain donors and scheduling pickups.
- Logistics Support: Helping with collection, packaging, and storage.
- Awareness Campaigns: Promoting the initiative via colleges or social platforms.
- Sorting and Quality Check: Helping sort usable curtains for donation.
- Distribution Assistance: Participating in donation drives to orphanages and homes.
Upon verification, volunteers will be assigned tasks based on availability and location.
5. Code of Conduct
All volunteers are expected to:
- Be respectful, punctual, and responsible.
- Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive data or donor details.
- Follow safety guidelines and work under supervision when required.
- Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or misconduct.
- Report any issues or irregularities to the project coordinator immediately.
6. Volunteer Benefits

7. Safety and Liability
- All activities will be conducted under guidance from V Furnish team members.
- Transportation or on-ground work will be managed responsibly.
- V Furnish is not liable for injuries or incidents beyond its control during off-site
volunteering unless otherwise arranged.
8. Confidentiality and Data Use
All volunteer data will be handled as per our Privacy Policy. We
do not share your
personal data with third parties without consent.
9. Duration and Commitment
Volunteers can choose:
- Short-term involvement (event-based)
- Medium-term (1–2 weeks project duration)
- Long-term (project ambassador or ongoing assistance)
You are free to exit the project at any point by informing the CSR team in writing.
